Privacy Policy
VryTools provides browser-based tools for streamers, content creators, and creator clients, including widgets, overlays, chat tools, alerts, stream utilities, and related dashboard features. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
VryTools is operated by a self-employed professional/freelancer based in Spain. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@vrytools.com.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following information:
- Account information, such as email address, username, login provider details, and account settings.
- Creator configuration, such as public Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or TikTok channel names and handles, widget settings, overlay preferences, and design choices.
- Widget and livestream data, such as public chat messages, usernames, display names, avatars, badges, roles, timestamps, alerts, goals, and supported live event data returned by third-party platforms.
- Connection information, such as authentication tokens or platform permissions, if you explicitly connect a supported third-party account.
- Uploaded or configured assets, if offered, such as images, sounds, fonts, layout settings, and branding elements you choose to use in VryTools widgets.
- Technical data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, request logs, error logs, security events, and usage metrics.
- Payment or subscription information, if paid plans are offered. Payment details may be processed by a third-party payment provider and not stored directly by VryTools.
- Support communications, such as messages you send to us by email or other contact channels.
3. How we use third-party platform APIs
VryTools may use APIs or integrations from livestreaming platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, Kick, and TikTok, to provide creator widgets, overlays, alerts, chat tools, stream utilities, analytics, account connection, and related creator features.
For YouTube, VryTools uses the YouTube Data API to support YouTube Live Chat overlays. We may use the API to resolve a creator-provided YouTube channel, detect an active livestream, retrieve the active live chat ID, and read public live chat messages and supported public live chat events for display in the creator's overlay.
Our current YouTube integration is read-only. We do not use the YouTube API to upload videos, edit videos, delete content, moderate chats, post messages, or access private YouTube account data.
Use of YouTube API Services is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
VryTools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable. Use of YouTube API Services is also governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Developer Policies.
If VryTools offers direct account connections for a third-party platform, you may disconnect that platform from your VryTools account or contact us to request removal of related configuration. For Google account permissions, you can also review and revoke access in your Google Account permissions.
4. Why we use your information
- To provide, operate, and improve VryTools.
- To display livestream chat messages, alerts, goals, and other creator widgets in creator-controlled overlays.
- To authenticate users and protect accounts.
- To configure dashboards, widgets, and overlay settings.
- To monitor reliability, debug errors, prevent abuse, and enforce limits.
- To communicate about support, service updates, security, billing, or policy matters.
- To comply with legal obligations and platform API requirements.
5. Legal bases for processing under GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with similar data protection laws, we process personal data under the following legal bases: contract, legitimate interests, consent where required, and legal obligation.
6. Public livestream data
Some data processed by VryTools may come from public livestream chats or public channel information. This may include public usernames, display names, avatars, badges, messages, and timestamps.
VryTools processes this data only to provide creator widget and livestream overlay functionality, moderation-related display behavior, debugging, abuse prevention, and service reliability. We do not sell YouTube API data or use it for unrelated profiling.
7. Sharing information
We may share information with infrastructure providers, authentication providers, analytics and monitoring providers, email or support tools, billing providers, file or asset storage providers, third-party livestreaming platforms where required to operate integrations, legal authorities if required by law, and professional advisers. We do not sell personal data.
8. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the service, maintaining security, resolving disputes, complying with legal obligations, and enforcing our agreements.
Public chat messages, alerts, events, and similar real-time data may be processed temporarily to display widgets and maintain service reliability. If VryTools stores this data for logs, debugging, or statistics, we keep it only for a limited period unless a longer period is required for security, legal compliance, billing, or dispute resolution.
9. International transfers
VryTools may use service providers located outside Spain or the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, request portability, withdraw consent, or file a complaint with a data protection authority. If you are in Spain, you may contact the Spanish Data Protection Agency at https://www.aepd.es.

11. Account deletion and data removal
You may request account deletion or removal of personal data by contacting hello@vrytools.com. We may need to retain limited information where required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, billing, or dispute resolution.
You may also ask us to remove creator handles, widget settings, uploaded assets, and stored platform configuration linked to your account, subject to limited retention needed for security, legal, or operational reasons.
12. Cookies and similar technologies
VryTools may use cookies or similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, secure the service, measure usage, and improve performance. Where required by law, we will request consent for optional cookies.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, and service abuse.
14. Children
VryTools is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required by applicable law in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify users.
